Renovation and extension of an old derelict house in Arva Co.Cavan. This house was originally built in the 1920s and has been left derelict from the 1980s to present. Since we have been given the contract we have done everything from Demolition of doorways, support of existing walls, treatment of replacement of floor joists, reclaiming the original staircase, treatment and replacement of originally roof rafters.
We built on a spacious kitchen, bedroom and downstairs toilet/shower room with an extra toilet/bathroom upstairs. We installed triple glazed Munster Joinery Windows throughout the property with sliding sash windows to the front. We fully repiped the house installed central heating and rewired the house. We added extra insulation to existing and new walls by using cosyboard. We built a retaining wall at the bank at the rear of the property and concreted the rear of the property and layed footpaths.
